Cellar: 5 - 6 Years (2021-2022)

The premier cru Les Poruzots-Dessus adjoins Genevrieres-Dessus and Remi produces a lush, opulent wine from this site. From two parcels; one of 85 year old vines, one of 45 year old vines.

Brilliant very pale straw colour with a light greenish tinge around the edges and watery hue. Fresh white peach scents are to the fore with ensuing citrusy pear characters, faint lemon butter, bees wax and subtle stony end notes. Light and elegant but with good persistence the palate is delicately flavoured with white peaches and nectarines subtlety infused with bees wax followed by stony mineral and some light spice. Clean dry finish with good lively acidity boding well for longer term cellaring. Long refined aftertaste of white peaches, nectarines, bees wax, cashew and stony mineral.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc 13%

Other Reviews....
Bright lemon-yellow color. Lemon, white flowers and a whiff of honey on the reticent nose. Quite dry, even a bit unyielding, displaying a thickness of texture but with its fruit in the deep background. Less minerally than the Chevalières but this wine nonetheless will require cellaring to express itself.
