2014 De Bortoli Deen Vat Series No. 1 Durif

Superb inky black dark purple colour that’s totally impenetrable with a deep dark purple hue. Ripe black cherry and liquorice aromas jump from the glass with an undercurrent of blackberries, vanillin oak and spice. Big and rich but not over the top the palate is loaded with juicy black cherry and liquorice flavours supported by vanillin oak and spice with a firm chewy tannin structure providing the framework. Good depth with a medium to long chewy conclusion of ripe black cherries, liquorice, vanillin oak and spice.
