This savoury and affordable Sangiovese was matured in older casks for 18 months. Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. The nose exhibits aromas of dark cherries laced with dried herbs followed by some earthy cedar and spice notes. Light to medium bodied the palate has a savoury profile of dark cherries with dried herb infusions over some earthy cedar and spice. Dryish finish with soft finely grained tannins showing good integration. Good length and acidity with an aftertaste of spicy dark cherries, subtle dried herb infusions, earth and cedar.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
Alc 14%

Other Reviews….
Well. This is interesting. Very. This is a wine to seek out, pronto.
I’m a bit taken aback. This has polish, intensity, length and charm, and it’s only $16. It’s a gorgeous sangiovese. It’s cherried and nutty and gently spicy, and while it flows with easy-going flavour it has enough tension to give it focus, and lend drama. $16. It’s outrageous value. You won’t find anything close to its quality anywhere near this price. If ever there was a case for buying by the dozen …”
