2014 Clan Denny Inchgower 8 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Douglas McGibbon & Company is an independent, family-owned business who pride themselves in taking an old fashioned approach to whiskies. Their Clan Denny single casks are, as the name suggests, hand-selected expressions from distilleries all over Scotland typically bottled at higher than standard strengths. There's no complaints when Inchgower arrives on our table, and even better out of a bourbon barrel delivering a proper, pure young East Speyside malt, uncomplicated and characterful. The bottler's tasting notes read caramel cream, barley scones, citric tang, brown sugar and hints of nutmeg. The outturn was 249 bottles from a single cask. Non chill filtered.
