2014 Cimicky Trumps Shiraz

One of Barossa Valley’s best kept secrets the Cimicky Trumps Shiraz consistently delivers a rich full bodied Shiraz at a price that’s hard to top.

A low yielding vintage of high quality, the 2014 Trumps Shiraz was sourced mainly from estate fruit with 40% also coming from the sub region of Marananga. Maturation takes place in new and seasoned American and French oak. Totally opaque inky black colour with a deep dark red black hue. Pronounced liquorice and ripe blackberry aromas are followed by some black cherry, toasty vanillin oak and pepper. Full bodied with a rich luscious textural feel the palate is amply endowed with succulent fruit flavours of liquorice, blackberries and ripe black cherries over a background of toasty oak and blackpepper. Velvet like tannins. Long liquorice, ripe blackberry, black cherry, toasty vanillin oak and spicy pepper aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
