2014 Chateau Macay

Totally opaque midnight black core with a very dark red black tinged hue. Aromas of blackcurrant, black olive and tobacco leaf are followed by scorched earth and gurkin like notes. Elegant and medium bodied with an earthy background, savoury red to dark currant flavours meld into black olive, old leather and dried herb characters. Dry slightly bitter finish with edgy tannins and a shortish finish.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
