$599.88 Dozen
Cellar: 8 - 10 Years (2025-2027)

Brilliant pale gold colour with a glimmer of green to the golden edges. Beautifully scented nose of botrytis, honey coated peaches and apricots followed by hints of marmalade, faint lemon butter and spice. Impressively rich with a luscious mouthfeel the palate is shade lighter than the 2014 Coutet yet equally if not more powerful and shows more freshness and tension. Mouthfilling flavours of honeyed peach and ripe apricot fruits drive the palate over subtle infusions of marmalade, candied citrus and pineapple. Perfectly balanced acidity freshens up the finish and gives the wine a sense of vibrancy. Exceptionally long conclusion of honeyed fresh peaches and apricots, subtle marmalade, traces of lemon butter and pineapple.
Cellar 8-10 years.
Alc 13.5%

Other Reviews...
Bright peach, nectarine and tangerine notes form the core, with a lacing of hazelnut. Shows a touch of youthful coarseness on the finish that has yet to settle in, but this remains concentrated overall.

The Château Doisy-Daëne 2014 is bestowed with 144 grams per liter residual sugar and a pH of 3.7. It is much more introspective compared to the Coutet at the moment, perhaps because of less residual, but it is fragrant and ethereal with wild honey, yellow flower and orange blossom scents developing with aeration. The palate is very well balanced with superb tension and fruit intensity on the entry. It is more linear than recent vintages, minerally with a lovely twist of sour lemon imparting tension and vivacity on the crystalline finish. This is a fabulous Doisy-Daëne from Denis Dubourdieu.
