2014 Carinae Finca Deneza Malbec

Matured for 12 months in French oak. Outstanding colour saturation displaying an inky black core with a deep dark purple black tinged hue. Nosing reveals aromatics of ripe black cherries and blackberries laced with liquorice followed by spicy vanillin cedar and subtle dark chocolate. Full bodied and very rich the palate dishes up lavish flavours of ripe black cherries and liquorice which dominate over vanillin cedar and earth with a very spicy dry finish. Firm drying tannins moderate the aftertaste of ripe black cherries, liquorice, earth and spicy vanillin cedar. A Malbec with impressive concentration matched by big robust tannins.
