Matured for 12 months in French oak. Opaque black dark red colour with a bright dark red hue. The nose offers up aromas of very ripe dark cherries and plum followed by some liquorice, raisin like notes and spice. Medium bodied and generous but simple the palate has very ripe flavours of dark cherries, plum and raisins with a touch of spice also present. Dryish finish with chewy tannins. Aftertaste of dark cherries, plum, subtle liquorice and spicy raisins.
