2014 Bruno Giacosa Barbera d'Alba

Totally opaque dark red black tinged colour with a dark red hue. Ripe black cherry and blackberry aromas compete with liquorice, vanillin oak, subtle earth and spicy fresh herb infusions. Rich yet quite elegant in its feel, juicy blackberry, liquorice and black cherry flavours fill the mouth underpinned by inky earth, vanillin cedar, subtle leather and spice elements. Finishes dry with bright acidity and slightly chewy tannins. Excellent depth with a medium to long succulent black fruit, earthy leather, inky vanillin cedar and spice aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
