There is a stark juxtaposition between Bremerton's intriguing Special Release series, hewn of grape varieties with a bright future on these shores, and the more expensive stalwarts. This is fully amped Fleurieu cabernet. The alcohol could be criticised as a bit on the excessive side and yet, this maker does not fob us off with watered down alcohols, meandering between the legal lee-ways. This is straight shooting, fully flared cab. It is not sweet. It has tannins and savour; graphite and leaf.
