2014 Bodegas de Chateau Macay

A blend of 53% Malbec, 32% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. Totally opaque dark red black colour with a deep dark red hue. Aromas of blackcurrant infused with black olive meld into scorched earth, toasty cedar, dried herb and spicy old leather notes. Medium bodied with a rustic feel, spicy blackcurrant flavours morph into old cedar, scorched earth, dried herb and leather characters on the back half. Dry chalky tannins with clipped finish that’s driven by tertiary flavours.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
