2014 Best's Great Western Riesling

Brilliant water like colour with a light greenish tinge around the outskirts and a watery hue. Fresh lime and citrus scents are followed by some crunchy granny smith apple with minerally end notes. Concentrated ripe lime flavours are intermixed with citrus, some mandarin and green apple with some mineral infusions on the dry crisp crunchy finish. Long aftertaste of ripe lime, citrus, subtle mandarin and mineral.
Drink now or cellar 6-8 years.

The mother vines of today's vineyard are in the Nursery Block, planted in 1866. An ultimately juicy lime essence burst of flavour on the palate will make the wine irresistible, and its early consumption mock the long term cellaring potential. Drink by 2029.
