2014 Ardbeg Supernova Committee Release Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

The Ardbeg committee commenced on the 1st of January, 2000 as a free to join membership for fans to keep up to date with all the latest news and activities from the distillery. Exclusive annual bottlings were also one of the perks of membership, yielding highly revered bottlings such as the original 'Kildalton', 'Serendipity' and 'Rollercoaster'.  Over the years these bottling’s have become highly sought after in the collectors market.

This is the third installment of Supernova, released to commemorate the Ardbeg Space Experiment which returned in September, 2014 (first commemorated by the Ardbeg Galileo release).  General consensus is the latest bottling doesn't quite reach the dizzying heights in terms of peat intensity (100ppm) compared to previous bottlings, yet fills the gaps nicely with the addition of a sherry cask finish, imparting a sweetness that should suit 'Uigeadail' lovers.
