Deep midnight black core with a very dark red hue. Sailing from the glass are intense blackcurrant aromas infused with choc mint followed by some vanillin cedar, earth and faint leather notes. Rich, amply fleshed blackcurrant fruits laced with mint flood the medium to full bodied palate with vanillin cedar, tobacco, earth and spicy bay leaf characters lying underneath. Ripe, now velvet like tannins extend through to the long generously fruited finish that has some tertiary elements just beginning to shine through.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
Alc. 14.5%

Other Reviews…..
There's a tiny amount of strut to this wine. It's a good thing. It tastes of blackcurrant, ground coffee, mint and fresh herbs, and while it's generally elegant it powers confidently through the finish. Drink by 2033. (Tasted February 2016).
