2013 Yalumba The Cigar Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

Totally opaque black as night dark red colour with a deep dark red black hue. Nosing reveals a scented profile of ripe blackcurrants laced with hints of black olives and bay leaf over toasty cedar and spice notes. The medium to full bodied palate is awash with ripe blackcurrant fruit overlaying a backdrop of lightly toasted vanillin oak, dried herbs, hints of bay leaf and spice. Solidly built tannins provide good structure. Aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, vanillin cedar, bay leaf, dried herb infusions and hints of spicy black olives.
