Matured in French oak for 14 months of which 40% was new. Opaque dark red black colour with a bright dark red hue. Pronounced aromas of blackcurrant infused with black olives and mulberries are followed by spicy cedar, tobacco and hints of bay leaf. Elegant yet with good richness the palate features a refined flavour profile of mulberries, blackcurrant, spicy cedar, tobacco leaf and bay leaf. Dryish finish with very fine grained structured tannins. Long aftertaste of blackcurrant, mulberry, cedary tobacco characters, subtle bay leaf and spice.
