2013 Woodstock The Stocks Shiraz

Impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark purple black hue displaying outstanding colour saturation. Scented aromas of ripe blackberry, dark plum and dark chocolate are overlaid by liquorice and vanillin confectionary with a hint of spicy mocha as an end note. Rich, opulently textured and large scaled, mouthfilling aromas of ripe blackberries, dark chocolate and liquorice swamp the palate with some dark plum also present. Underlying spicy vanillin oak and mocha finish things off. Velvety yet structural tannins provide a firm framework to the huge core of fruit. Long aftertaste of spicy blackberries, liquorice, dark chocolate, vanillin oak and mocha.
