A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Shiraz and 13% Merlot matured in a combination of 70% French oak and 30% American oak barriques for 18 months. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Ripe blackcurrant and liquorice top notes are followed by some blackberry, vanillin cedar and spice. Medium weight with good fruit richness the Cabernet component drives the palate with flavours of blackcurrant, mulberry and spicy cedar to the fore over touches of earth. Dryish finish with fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, mulberry and spicy cedar.
