2013 Veronique Cabernet Sauvignon

Sourced from Eden Valley with vines dating back to 1960 maturation took place in predominately first and second fill French barriques for a period of 24 months. Excellent depth of colour with an inky black core and very deep dark red black hue. The nose gives up aromas of ripe blackcurrants, plum and liquorice followed by some choc mint and spicy cedar. The palate is round and very forward in style with ripe blackcurrant and dark plum flavours to the fore followed by some choc mint and light spicy cedar. Soft acidity and velvety tannins. Aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, dark plum, choc mint and spicy cedar.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
