2013 Ulithorne Paternus Cabernet Shiraz

A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Shiraz. Impenetrable inky black core with a deep dark red black hue. Pronounced ripe blackcurrant aromas are laced with liquorice and dark chocolate nuances followed by cedary tobacco characters, a hint of black olive and spice. Rich and full bodied the palate has a lush, yet structured mouthfeel and is saturated with ripe blackcurrant, liquorice and subtle black cherry flavours over a back drop of cedary tobacco characters and spice. Velvet smooth yet structurally sturdy tannins. Excellent depth with a long aftertaste of ripe blackcurrants, liquorice, cedary tobacco characters, faint black olive and spice.
Cellar 6-8 years.
