Totally opaque inky black colour with a deep dark red black hue. Nosing offers up scents of liquorice, blackcurrants and black cherries over a back drop of cedary tobacco notes and spice. Big rich fruit flavours of ripe blackcurrants and black cherries are followed by some liquorice, cedary characters and spice. A robust solidly built tannin structure provides the support base and gives the wine a chewy mouthfeel on the finish. Long aftertaste of blackcurrants, black cherries, liquorice, cedar and spice. Cellar 6-8 years. Alc 14.5%
