2013 Turners Crossing Shiraz
Impenetrable black dark red colour with a deep dark red black hue. Elevated blackberry and liquorice aromas combine with hints of leather, earthy vanillin cedar and pepper. Very rich and dense in the mouth with a voluminous chewy textural feel the palate is awash with ripe blackberries, black cherries and liquorice which run over a back drop of earthy leather, old cedar and spicy pepper. Chewy robust tannins. Long spicy blackberry, black cherry, liquorice, leather, earthy vanillin cedar and pepper aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years.
Alc. 14.5%
Other Reviews….
A single wraparound label has '13 on the front portion, '12 on the side portion. The wine is co-fermented with some viognier (no percentage stated). The hue is still bright crimson; this is a very smart, elegant, medium-bodied shiraz with both red and black fruits on both the bouquet and supple, fresh palate. Oak play a positive role, and the tannins are silky. Drink by 2038.
