2013 The Lane Vineyard Block 14 Basket Press Shiraz

Opaque black purple colour with a dark purple hue. Nosing reveals scents of dark cherries intermixed with meaty characters followed by hint of liquorice, smoky cedar and blackpepper. Light to medium weight with a very elegantly textured mouthfeel the palate has flavours of ripe plums, meaty characters and liquorice over a background of smoky cedar with some light pepperiness on the finish. Velvet smooth tannins. Aftertaste of plums, meaty characters, smoky cedar and pepper.
Cellar 5-6 years.
