2013 Terrazze Dell' Etna Carusu

Made from 80% Nerello Mascalese and 20% Nerello Cappuccio grapes this wine was aged for 6 months in wood and 24 months in bottle. Semi translucent dark red colour with a light brick red hue. Fragrant ripe Morello cherry and raspberry aromas intermix with scorched earth, dried herbs and spice. Light in body with an elegant feel and fresh dry finish, savoury flavours of spicy red and Morello cherries sit over light scorched earth elements and dried herb infusions. Slightly grippy tannins and bright acidity. Good length with a spicy aftertaste of ripe red cherries, Morello cherries, earth and dried herbs.
