2013 Te Mata Cape Crest Sauvignon Blanc

This Sauvignon blanc has been barrel fermented with a touch of Semillon and Sauvignon Gris added to the blend. Brilliant pale straw colour with a faint tinge of green around the edges and a watery hue. Aromas of herbaceous grassy characters intermix with unripe passionfruit notes overlaid by cedary tones with trailing spicy asparagus notes. The palate features grassy characters, herbaceous asparagus and citrus flavours with cedary pencil shaving like overtones. Clean crisp dry finish with lively acidity. Long aftertaste of fresh asparagus, herbaceous grassy characters and spicy cedar.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
