2013 Tar & Roses The Rose Heathcote Shiraz

Outstanding colour displaying an impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark purple black hue. Intense aromatics of ripe blackberries, black cherries and liquorice ooze from the glass followed by some dark plum, confectionary and vanillin oak. Rich, with a youthful juiciness, this densely packed full bodied red boasts mouthfilling flavours of ripe blackberries, dark plums, liquorice and black cherries with an undercurrent of vanillin oak and pepper. Bright fresh finish with firmly built tannins giving the wine a robust muscular mouthfeel. Excellent concentration with a long conclusion of liquorice, blackberries, dark plums, vanillin oak and spicy pepper.
