Totally opaque inky black colour with a very deep dark purple black hue. The nose has aromas of fresh black plums followed by traces of liquorice, black cherries, stalky cedar and spice. Medium to full bodied the palate has tightly coiled flavours of black cherries, liquorice, toasty cedar, earth and pepper. Solid buttoned up tannins give the wine a dry finish. Aftertaste of black cherries, liquorice, smoky oak, earth and pepper.
