2013 Sons of Eden Romulus Shiraz

Impenetrable midnight black colour with a very deep dark purple black hue. Powerful expressive aromatics of ripe blackberries, dark plums and liquorice burst from the glass followed by some vanillin cedar, subtle dark chocolate and spice notes. A huge core of rich fruit saturates the palate dominated by liquorice and ripe blackberry flavours with following black cherry, vanillin cedar and spicy pepper characters. More compact and tightly structured than the 2012 with firm but fine grained tannins imparting some grip on the finish. Long aftertaste of peppery liquorice, blackberry, black cherry, vanillin cedar and spice.
