2013 Signatory Vintage Speyside (TAM) 11 Year Old Small Batch Edition #13 Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

This is the 13th edition in Signatory's 'Small Batch' series. The lower part of the labels are usually dark red. To confuse things, it's now green (like the earlier Cask Strength bottlings in the range). Otherwise, it's a Secret Speyside with the additional designation 'TAM'. So this could be Tamdhu. It was drawn from first-fill Bolgheri Hogsheads (a Tuscan red wine made from grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot). Signatory uses these from time to time. However, given that all modern-day Tamdhu is matured in sherry casks, our suggestion is Tamnavulin out of Bourbon wood. The extra-long wine finish has left a beautiful auburn hue. The taster's tip is give the malt enough time to breathe, because it needs it. 48.2% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
