2013 Sevenhill St Ignatius Cabernet Merlot Malbec Cabernet Franc

Impenetrable midnight black colour with a very deep dark red black tinged hue. Powerful aromas of rich ripe blackcurrant fruit and choc mint blossom from the glass followed by some dark cherries and subtle liquorice with spicy cedar and subtle bay leaf end notes. Full bodied and rich the palate features mouthfilling flavours of dark blackcurrant intermixed with some choc mint and liquorice over a back drop of spicy cedar and a touch of earth. Dry, slightly chewy finish with the solidly built tannins appearing fine grained beneath the wealth of fruit. Long powerful aftertaste of ripe dark blackcurrant, choc mint, liquorice and spicy earthy cedar.
