2013 Seppelt The Victorians Heathcote Shiraz

Fantastic colour displaying an inky black dark purple core with a dark purple black hue. Inky blackberry and liquorice aromas overlay some dried meat characters, earth and blackpepper. The palate is quite tight and firm but has an underlying richness that will fully reveal itself with bottle age. Inky restrained mouthfeel with flavours of black cherries, blackberries and liquorice over earthy vanillin cedar and blackpepper. Dry chalky tannins give the wine structure. Aftertaste of inky liquorice, blackberries, vanillin cedar, earth and blackpepper. Will open up with bottle age and improve greatly.
