2013 Scotchmans Hill Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured in new to 4 year old French barriques for 16 months. Opaque black crimson red colour with a dark crimson red hue. Aromas of blackcurrant, mulberry and tobacco leaf are overlaid by some black olive with spicy cedar end notes. Medium bodied the palate displays an elegant flavour profile of blackcurrant, dark cherries and black olive followed by some tobacco leaf and spicy cedar. Dryish finish with very fine grained well integrated tannins. Aftertaste of mulberries infused with black olives, subtle tobacco leaf and spicy cedar.
Cellar 5-6 years.
