2013 Savaterre Frere Cadet Chardonnay

Matured for 18 months in French oak barriques. Brilliant straw colour with a touch of green around the edges and a watery hue. The nose displays an intense aromatic profile of cashew, subtle bees wax characters and nougat intermixed with some ripe peach and apricot notes followed by some spice. Rich with a creamy viscous texture the palate is an amalgam of cashew, apricot, bees wax, nougat, dried honey and spice. Clean dry finish. Excellent concentration and depth finishing long with an aftertaste of creamy cashew, apricot, waxy characters, dried honey and spice.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
