Matured in French oak for 18 months. Semi translucent dark red colour with a light red to brick red hue. Perfumed scents of ripe dark cherries and strawberries laced with anise sit over some toasty cedar and spice. Supplely textured and soft in the mouth the palate presents a flavour profile of ripe dark cherries intermixed with strawberries shaded by anise over a background of toasty oak. Spicy finish with velvet smooth tannins. Aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, strawberries, toasty anise and spice.
