2013 Rockcliffe Single Site Cabernet Sauvignon

Impenetrable black dark red colour with a very deep dark red black tinged hue. Fragrant ripe blackcurrant aromas tinged with mulberry and hints of bay leaf are followed by tobacco, black olive and spicy cedar. Undeniably rich yet with classic Cabernet structure and refinement the palate is flooded with ripe blackcurrant, subtle liquorice and cassis flavours which overlay toasty cedar, black olives and spicy tobacco infusions. Superb power coupled with a firm robust tannin structure make for impressive long term drinking. Exceptionally long aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, a touch of liquorice, cedary tobacco characters, black olives and spicy dried herbs. A Cabernet of great concentration and substance.
