2013 Quarisa Treasures Shiraz

Totally opaque black as night core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced liquorice and ripe blackberry scents are intertwined with smoky vanillin cedar and black pepper notes. Plump and juicy the palate is filled with luscious liquorice and ripe blackberry flavours followed by some black cherry, lightly smoked vanillin cedar and pepper. Excellent richness and weight for the price with an opulent mouthfeel and velvety tannins that have an underlying sturdy structure. Long aftertaste of spicy liquorice, ripe blackberries, black cherries, smoky vanillin cedar and pepper.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
