2013 Prunotto Barolo

Deep dark red colour with tinges of black to the edges and a light brick red hue. Nosing offers up a mixture of dried and dark cherry aromas, hints of roses, dried herbs, earth, faint leather and spice. Light to medium bodied with an elegant supple mid palate feel, red fruit flavours sit over dried herbs, light tobacco, earth and spice. Finishes dry with a lick of bright acidity to maintain freshness. Robust yet refined tannins provide structure. Good depth with a savoury aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Wonderful purity of fruit to this red with strawberry, cherry and orange-peel aromas. Medium to full body, very fine tannins and a creamy, silky-textured finish. All in finesse here. Better in 2019.
