2013 Poderi Aldo Conterno Il Favot Langhe Nebbiolo

Deep dark red core with black tinged edges and a dark red to brick red hue. Dried and dark cherry aromas overlay old cedar, dried herbs, earth, leather and spice. Medium bodied, slightly chewy and underpinned by vibrant acidity the palate is flavoured with a mix of dark and dried cherries which sit atop earthy leather characters and spicy dried herbs. The tannins remain quite firm and result in a slightly grippy finish. Good length with a medium to long aftertaste.
