Opaque black dark purple colour with a deep dark purple hue. Very youthful nose exhibiting freshly crushed berry aromas of blackberries, liquorice and dark plum over a background of toasty vanillin oak and pepper. Fresh inky blackberry and liquorice flavours dominate the palate over toasty vanillin oak with a peppery finish and crisp acidity. Good concentration and richness with firmly built, slightly chewy tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of inky blackberries, liquorice, toasty vanillin oak and pepper.
