2013 Morris of Rutherglen Bin No. 158 Durif

Totally opaque black dark red core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Aromas of black and Morello cherries are tied to liquorice with a subtle earthy leather over hang and spiced toasty vanillin oak end notes. Full bodied, rich black and Morello cherry flavours fill the mouth with liquorice, scorched earth and spicy vanillin oak also chiming in. Robust, solidly built tannins impart some chewiness to the finish. Good depth with a long ripe Morello cherry, black cherry, liquorice, scorched earth and spicy vanillin oak aftertaste.
