2013 Monte Tondo San Pietro Valpolicella

Deep very dark red colour with black tinged edges and a brick red hue. Spicy red cherry scents intermingle with hints of sour cherry followed by some dried cherry, scorched earth and leather notes. Light to medium weight with a gentle fruitiness the palate features flavours of both red and dried cherries over some earth, cedar and spice. Bright finish with finely grained tannins and an aftertaste of bright red cherries, dried cherries, earthy cedar and spice.
