2013 Mitchell Peppertree Vineyard Shiraz

Totally opaque black as night core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Elevated scents of blackpepper, liquorice and black cherry drift from the glass melding into lightly toasted spicy vanillin cedar and hints of mint. Medium to full bodied and elegant yet firm in its mouthfeel the palate has flavours of black cherries and liquorice infused with blackpepper over toasty vanillin cedar and notions of mint. Spicy finish with slightly dryish but fine grained tannins providing a sturdy support base. Aftertaste of liquorice, blackberries, pepper, lightly toasted vanillin cedar and traces of mint.
