Matured in a combination of seasoned French and American oak. Totally opaque inky black colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Lifted aromas of blackberry and liquorice are overlaid by some toasty cedar with light peppery end notes. Ripe blackberry, plum and liquorice flavours fill the medium to full bodied palate with following smoky cedar and pepper characters. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of ripe blackberries, dark plum, liquorice, smoky cedar and pepper.
