Matured in new and seasoned French oak hogsheads for 15-18 months.
Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Intense aromas of liquorice, black cherries and blackberries overlay some toasty vanillin oak with peppery end notes. Rich concentrated flavours of ripe blackberries and liquorice are to the fore over a decent dose of vanillin oak with some dried meat characters also present finishing with a dash of pepper. Velvet smooth tannins. Aftertaste of liquorice, blackberries, vanillin oak and pepper.
