Opaque black crimson colour with a bright dark crimson red hue. Aromas of black olives, pen ink and liquorice are followed by vanillin cedar and spice. Medium bodied with a relatively tight inky mouthfeel the palate has flavours of fresh blackcurrant intermixed with black olives and pen ink over a spicy dry, grippy finish. Firm chalky tannins. Moderate aftertaste of inky blackcurrant, black olives and spicy cedar.
