2013 Leconfield Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

Superb opaque black dark purple colour with a very deep dark purple hue. The nose reveals aromas of blackcurrants, dark cherries and mulberries followed by some subtle black olives, cedar and faint bay leaf. The palate is still quite youthful and as a result has a bit of an inky mouthfeel about it. Elegant, yet tightly focused it has generous flavours of blackcurrant and mulberries which are overlaid by some black olive, cedar and spice. Dryish finish with tightly grained firm tannins providing the framework. Medium to long aftertaste of blackcurrant, black olive, cedar, faint tobacco and spice.
Cellar 6-8 years.
