2013 La Pleiade Shiraz

Impenetrable midnight black dark purple core with a very deep dark purple black tinged hue. Alluring aromas of liquorice and blackberries with a subtle violet overlay roll out of the glass followed by some black cherries, hints of dark chocolate, vanillin cedar and pepper. Undeniably concentrated yet elegant with an unyielding restraint to the fruit and a rock like structure the palate features flavours of liquorice, black cherries and subtle dark chocolate melded into some crushed rock like characters with vanillin cedar and pepper ensuing. Tightly built with a dry finish and fine grained yet very structured tannins giving the finish a chalky feel. Long liquorice, blackberry, subtle dark chocolate, crushed rock, vanillin cedar and pepper aftertaste.
