2013 Kientzler Pinot Gris

Brilliant pale straw colour with a greenish tinge around the edges and a watery hue. The nose displays aromas of ripe pears tinged with a hint of honeysuckle over some tropical fruits, faint musk and citrusy mineral characters. Quite light and elegant for Pinot Gris and possessing plenty of freshness but lacking the concentration and power the varietal is capable of delivering, it has flavours of ripe pears and citrus which overlay traces of honeysuckle, musk and mineral. Clean dry finish with vibrant acidity. Aftertaste of pears, citrus, light honeysuckle, faint infusions of musk and mineral.
