2013 Katnook Estate Chardonnay

Aged in French oak for 10 months. Brilliant straw colour with a faint tinge of green included around the edges and a watery hue. The nose displays lifted aromas of citrus, ripe peach and dried honey followed by some nougat and spicy cashew. Full and rich the palate has some citrusy acid on the finish which keeps it fresh. Mouthfilling flavours of cashew, honeycomb and nougat followed by a touch of roasted hazelnut and citrus. Clean dry finish with the fresh acidity keeping things lively but not detracting from the wines creamy mouthfeel. Long aftertaste of cashew, citrus, honeycomb, nougat and roasted hazelnut.
